Heavy-duty gratings

Heavy-duty gratings – gratings fit for traffic

Heavy-duty gratings consist of cross and bearing bars and a binding bar. These are arranged at right angles to each other. What is special about this kind of grate is the height and the thickness of the bearing bars. The dimensions of the bearing bars enable the grate to bear a significantly higher load than our standard grates can.

Oscillation coefficient

Should the lane contain parts which are particularly susceptible to local brake loads, (e.g. parts of the lane crossings, gratings or similar) then the wheel loads of the standard vehicle allocated to the individual parts are to be multiplied by 1.4 as brake loads.
